Whether it comes to craigslist or any other ad sites you absolutely need to be unique not only in what you say, but also how you say it. A regular ad, probably won’t get noticed with the zillions of other ads. But if you are unique in how you create the ad, you could be really catching people’s attention. Obviously by catching people’s attention they will want to hear what you say, which in turn means a higher chance at selling whatever you are selling! One of the things you may want to consider is a free ad maker.

These free ad creator websites are all about being the admaster of the ad site! You can easily and efficiently create free ads by utilizing their free ad creator. This is going to allow you to add in different colored texts, font faces and even pictures. And yes, these sites that have these free ad makers really are, FREE. Its pretty cool and very easy to set up. The first thing you will want to do is find a site that offers a service like this. Once you find a site you would like to work with and one that can do all the things you want, you will simply sign up for an account.

Most all of these sites will make you sign up for an account because then you can keep track of all the ads that you create which will also allow you to re-post them where and when necessary. Once you sign up for an account it’s time to create your ad – this is the fun part! You get to choose your template, description and add unlimited photos. This would be fantastic if you were selling an actual item or product because, then you could post various pictures of the items or products so people can visually see what it is.

Once you are done doing that, you will have to preview your ad and make any adjustments. After that you will save your ad to your account, get the code and post it to craigslist. This is NOTHING difficult. Its an html code, all you have to do is put your mouse in the box where the ad is, right click, select all and paste it into your ad for craigslist. That’s it! You can also use these ad master sites for other reasons as well such as a free flyer generator which will allow you to edit and create a flyer which you could post literally anywhere in the offline world! Multi-use, easy interface, user-friendly and it’s free? What more could you want!?!

–

Success in online business depends on many factors and list building among them is of primary importance. Unless you have a large list size, you cannot make money online. It is like having huge traffic and a high sales conversion rate that leads to sales figures rising. Any online marketing specialist will suggest that building a large list is the only way to success in online businesses. You can make more profits online if the size of your list is big and it keeps growing.

Primarily, a list is required to send all updated offers to your subscribers on a regular basis. It is the best way to promote your products or services for marketing them on a wide scale. Theorists in online marketing have come up with multiple ideas to make your business on the internet succeed. If you can employ the strategies that are being successfully tried out by a host of operators online, then your chances of making money online goes up remarkably.

You can use the strategies of pay per click advertisements, providing free offers and giveaways, forum postings, article marketing and buying lists. The last strategy of buying lists instead of building one yourself does not find favor with many online business owners. They prefer to build their own lists as lists bought online have shown lower success rates.

The process is slow if you go about building your own, but the chances of success are far higher. It is a slow process and you can’t afford to force the pace as it may result in people opting out of lists. Many business owners persist with the effort even though it takes several months to get a list in place.

Usually, many of them don’t persist and keep up the pace after a certain point. It has been seen that after a few great articles, they stop and don’t send any more to the article marketing sites. They get easily satisfied after watching some traffic trickling in. The whole process of building lists is a continuous effort and you can’t leave it mid way just because you have tasted some results. Others would move over to try some other strategy leaving the one they started mid way.

These are the common mistakes made by online business owners and they are the primary reason for their failures to build a winning list for making money. The best option is to try with a set of techniques that could be one or two and persist with it. You have to employ the strategies continuously to witness some level of success in your online business for selling products or services. If you are hoping that overnight you would have a thousand subscribers, you would be disheartened soon and opt out of list building.

With the growth of online businesses the need for effective marketing tools and techniques are bandied about by theorists. Although the product and service sold online may be myriad, there are some common ways that have been proven successful.

Among the most common is list building and if the list does not grow, then your business won’t prosper. You don’t have the luxury of live sales persons or plant and machinery like in land based businesses and the most effective method is to build a list as it is loaded with advantages.

With a list in place you can market your product or service many times over. It is not an one time advertising that you would be aiming at, but with the prospect listed, you can mail him or her on a continuous basis and try and hard sell you idea. By being able to market more than one product, you have a better chance of more income coming your way.

Another great advantage of list building is being able to add affiliate products if they are more market worthy. By recommending other products to your list you can benefit from commissions. Once your list is done, members should receive the links in their emails. With list building you can not only market your products, but do third party marketing and benefit from a cut in revenue.

You can also cross sell products of others like in a joint venture. It can also be done if you are into content syndication and can offer products or services of other people to your list and get your share of commission. It has happened with many online business owners that the other products were so good that they managed to get bulk discounts for members. It is a situation where you can’t lose and both the seller of the product and the list member benefits.

Building a list entails forming a group similar to your tastes and ideas. There may be different ways of looking at things but they are one when it comes to the products or services. You can form a unique tribe that thinks alike and shares common perceptions, but you remain the undisputed leader.

There is nothing greater in satisfaction that being able to get together people who think alike and share the same attitudes. It would be after all your brain child. Being a leader in something that you managed to create has more potential for further growth than anything else.

But to sell the products or services, you need to have upfront solutions ready and provide hands-on help. To sell products you got to deserve the right to market. You can’t afford to rest on your laurels as the moment you falter in content or solution, your competitor could take the opportunity to coast past you.

If you own a small business, you have probably been through difficult and scary times this past year. You are probably also wary about what’s coming in 2010. Will the changes in requirements for employee health care push you over the edge or will it take some of the burden off of your shoulders, for instance. What’s going to happen to the economy this coming year and how will it affect the health of your business?

Everything points to ongoing improvement in the economy next year. Now is the time to take a close look at your business and make some decisions about how to take advantage of an improved economy.

Revisit your business plan
Be objective about what is working and what is not. This might be a good time to have an outsider take an objective look at it. Ask yourself these questions:
Does it still serve as a guide to operations?
Does it communicate your company’s purpose and vision?
Does it spell out management responsibilities adequately?
Is it on target with regard to personnel requirements?
Are the marketing plans it lays out still viable?
Is it accurate with regard to your competition?
Is it an adequate foundation for creating a financing proposal for investors, lenders etc.

Evaluate customer satisfaction
Do you have an effective plan for measuring customer satisfaction?
Do you have a customer satisfaction form?
Do you have an effective way to get it to your customers and back to you?
Do you have an established way to respond to your customers’ comments?

Evaluate your phone system
Are the features of your system adequate to meet your needs?
Do you have enough extensions?
Do you have enough lines?
Does it cost too much? Are you getting your money’s worth?

Evaluate cost of equipment
If you lease, would it be more cost-effective to buy your equipment?
If you own your equipment, would it be more cost-effective to lease it?

Evaluate your real estate arrangement
If you lease your location, should you consider purchasing the land? Does your lease contain that option?
Be sure to factor in taxes, expenses, the potential for termination, etc.
Can you negotiate a more favorable rental fee?
Look at your escalation clause. How is it determined?
Does your lease protect you from competition in the near vicinity?
Review your option to renew. Are you likely to pay more rent at time of renewal.
Do you need more space?
Keep an eye on zoning regulations and changes in them.
Is there a chance that your landlord may not be able to remain solvent in the financial meltdown?

If you feel confident about these aspects of your business, you should look forward to the coming improvement in the economy. If you see weaknesses, get to work on them and make 2010 a good year.

You don’t need to be a professional copywriter or have a huge vocabulary in order to write a good sales letter. If it’s your first time to write one, all you need to exert is a bit of time and effort and you’ll sure to produce a good sales letter in no time.

A Good Sales Letter is Easy on the Eye.

Whether it’s an email or an actual letter, reading it must not be difficult for anyone with relatively good eyesight. Firstly, the font size must be at least 11 but no greater than 13 because anything more would take up too much space. Use special fonts only for emphasizing certain points but the main body of your content must still be written in easily understandable font like Times New Roman or Arial.

Choice of colors is also important. Use dark ink for light backgrounds and vice versa. For more details www.private-labels-empire.com This may seem like common sense stuff, but you’d be surprised to know just how many people have continuously violated this rule!

A Good Sales Letter is of Appropriate Length.

There are unwritten rules regarding the appropriate length for sales letters, and they depend on factors like the number of times you’ve already corresponded with your recipient, the objectives of your sales letter, and so forth. In most cases, nothing more than a one-pager is a must if it’s your first time to contact a prospective customer. You could definitely write more if your reader has indicated an interest in receiving more news and updates from you in the future, but just how much will again depend on what you’re talking about and how well you know your target readers.

A Good Sales Letter Does Not Beat around the Bush.

It will always have a few lines dedicated to showing courtesy and appreciation towards the reader, but it will afterwards mince no words in saying what it has to say. If it has a buy-one-take-two offer in mind, the sales letter must state this directly. Time is a precious commodity, and a reader will appreciate it if you show your understanding of this concept by writing only what you have to write.

A Good Sales Letter Has a Personalized Touch.

Readers often like it better when the letter is directly addressed to them and most especially when they are old or existing customers already. Addressing the letter directly in their names make them feel special and appreciated. And you can validate this feeling by signing the letter at the end with your own name or the highest official in your company.

A Good Sales Letter Acknowledges the Competition and Defends its Position

Good sales letters are not written by people who prefer to bury their heads in the sand. These people are aware that whatever they’re offering, rival companies surely have something to counter with as well, and they don’t hesitate to acknowledge this. Rather than pretend that their readers would not be aware or interested in the counter offers of other companies, these writers address these issues directly and defend their products and services to the best of their ability. Simply put a good sales letter shows why you still have to choose the products and services it’s offering over others! For more details www.web-sales-letter-supreme.com

A Good Sales Letter is Not All Talk!

Good sales letters are not all talk. If you’ve got claims to make, you better make sure you can support them with solid facts and figures that are certified by valid and reliable authorities. A good sales letter gives readers a reason to believe in them!

A Good Sales Letter Gives You the Chance to Opt Out

Lastly, a good sales letter always offers you the chance to NOT receive other similar updates in the future. This may seem a disadvantage at the start, but it actually proves you’re confident your reader won’t opt out. It’s reverse psychology in a way!

No matter how good a sales letter you have, remember that writing it will do you no good if in the end, it doesn’t fit the needs of your target market. A good sales letter will always need the things listed in here, but it has to be somewhat customized according to your target market’s preferences. What those are will, of course, depend if you’ve already correctly identified who your best customers are in the first place!

Videoblogging is the next generation of posting ideas and products over the internet. Everybody knows about textblogging. Now they use videos for a better way of expression. This form of communication may entail a lot of resources, but it is all worth it. If pictures say a thousand words, videoblogging exceeds that by far.

A videoblog requires larger disk spaces on websites, a faster server, and a whole new set of programs to support it. Videoblogs can be fed through RSS. This is technology of syndicating your website to other RSS aggregators.

Videoblogging works with people on the internet expressing their selves. Now if you put this on a business prospective, you are up to a lot of benefits. Think of it as a powerful tool in making showing your prospective customers your line of products or your services. It’s just like showing a commercial all for free. And if you videoblog through RSS, then most probably you are getting your target market.

People like to see what they are going to buy. Some would like to see proof and be sure that they are getting their money’s worth before shelving their dimes on it. All of us know the influence of a thirty second commercial. The effect of videoblogging is similar to that. You show your product, people watch it. If they like it, they buy it. If you present it good enough, they’ll buy the product even if they don’t need it.

Now on the web, things are pretty much static, unlike in television in which all are moving. If you post something that is mobile, it would most likely catch attention. Now imaging your product parading in all it’s royalty through videoblog. You’ll get phone call orders in no time.

If your business is just starting up, you can create a videoblog right at your own home. All you need is your web camera, microphone, video software, and lights. For as long as you know how to use your camera, then you can create a videoblog.

Invest in a good web camera. The higher its resolution is the better the output. And you like to present your goods in the optimum way so get the best one possible. Make a short story, or just capture your goods in one go. Just make sure you are getting the best profile for each. Get those creativity juices flowing.

Lights are important in a production. Make sure you illuminate entirely the area you are going to use to create videoblog. The brighter the area, the crispier the images will be. You can also use lighting effects for added appeal to the presentation.

Should you require sounds for your videoblog, you need a microphone. Record you voice as a voice over for promoting the product and its benefit to consumers. Sounds are as important as videos on a videoblog. It is advisable to make your sound effects as enticing as the video.

Your video editing software can be any program. You need this to finalize your work. You can add sounds, delete some bad angles, or insert some still pictures in there too. Some programs are user-friendly and can be used even with zero knowledge on video editing. Even simple video editing programs should do the trick. Select your background carefully too. The light affects the presentation so make sure that the background and the light complements each other.

Videoblogging is a great tool but it also has it downside. It may slow down the computer so other may steer clear of it. Download time may also be time consuming especially if customer is still on a dial- up connection.

But don’t let those stop you. Let videoblogging be an alternative for you, though it is best to still keep the text and pictures present in your presentation to accommodate all possible viewers of your site.

Nowadays, the more creative you are in presenting your product to the market, they more you are likely to succeed. Videoblogging offers an interactive way of selling. You involve the customers. You instill in them the advantage of your goods. And at times, those are enough to make a sale.

RSS is fast replacing email marketing and newsletters. You would not want to be left behind would you? Your competitor will surely overtake you and speed right up. RSS is mostly called Really Simple Syndication, although some give other meaning to the acronym. It is a process by which you could place a feed on websites that can read RSS from your directory.

Information distribution has been made simply by RSS. Simply put, with RSS, you can place your headline to other website for more people to see it. In marketing, it is a known concept that the more people you reaches to, the more likely that your product will sell.

RSS is an XML-based application. XML is similar in a way to HTML, which we all know is the most common website creator application. From a directory, it would feed the headlines into website that has an RSS reader. Creating an RSS feed would definitely boost up your sales. How can you make an RSS feed? Just follow these simple steps:

1. Create a file for your feed.

Using a certain format, you’d have to create the XML version of your feed. It should include the title or the headline, the body’s short description, and the link where it can be read. There are a lot of different RSS web channel editor you can use for this. Some programs just require you to write news and articles down on a notepad and when placed on the editor, it will show up with the necessary formatting ready for upload. It would be advisable to make at least ten articles for your feed.

2. Save and Upload the file.

After creating your file, save your work as an XML, RSS, or an RDF file. Then you are now ready to upload it. Upload the file using your FTP program and place it on your web server. This process now makes the file readable by RSS news aggregators.

3. Validate the file.

Make your RSS program error-free. RSS is programming, so errors could lie unseen. Again, there are different programs that can assist you for this process. You would just need to place the saved and uploaded RSS file for the program to test it against wrong and missed code and tags. It is essential for you to check your work of course. This way, you’re sure that what you have is readable and usable.

4. Create a directory.

Now that you have created the file, saved it, and made sure it works, you are ready to let other see it. The main purpose of an RSS feed is to broadcast it to all RSS enabled sites. So go ahead and look for a directory where you can place your feed. Some may require fees for uploading a directory. Some offer it for free. Scout around and round up all the free sites you can have and place it there. If you have some marketing budget, you might want to subscribe to sites that charge a minimal amount. Don’t forget to place an icon of your RSS feed on your website, too for those people who visits you directly.

5. Update regularly.

With RSS, you know that the feed changes automatically every time you change the main file. Don’t let your RSS feed sit there for a month without modifying it. Maintain it. Add new articles. The more exciting your topic is, the more people will check your feeds and visit your website.

Creating an RSS feed for Internet marketing is made very simple now a days. Even people who are not computer savvy can create RSS feeds, based on the steps provided above. The applications that were created for RSS creation are the ones that make it easy for everyday computer users to make an RSS feed. All you need is familiarization with the process.

Start now creating RSS feeds. Give your competitor something fierce to duel with. Needless to say, RSS feeds give your website more traffic than usual web hosting. And web traffic means more people seeing your products that could be interested in buying them. Add strength to your marketing strategy. Make RSS feeds and be ready to sell.

You probably have seen this three-letter acronym called RSS in the course of your internet surfing. RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication or Rich Site Summary; syndicating means republishing an article that comes from another source such as a website.

An RSS is a means of publicizing updates about websites. It may or may not include a summary and photos of the latest posting. But those that provide summaries (thus Rich Site Summary) allow users to skim through the article so that they could decide later on if they want to access the website source. The RSS feed usually contains the title of the update originating from the website. It is also usually the link to the website source.

What are the benefits of RSS? RSS gives benefits to both readers (users) and web publishers.

1. It gives you the latest updates.
Whether it is about the weather, new music, software upgrade, local news, or a new posting from a rarely-updates site learn about the latest as soon as it comes out.

2. It saves on surfing time.
Since an RSS feed provides a summary of the related article, it saves the user’s time by helping s/he decide on which items to prioritize when reading or browsing the net.

3. It gives the power of subscription to the user.
Users are given a free-hand on which websites to subscribe in their RSS aggregators which they can change at any time they decide differently.

4. It lessens the clutter in your inbox.
Although your email address will be required to enjoy the services of online RSS aggregators, RSS does not use your email address to send the updates.

5. It is spam free.
Unlike email subscriptions, RSS does not make use of your email address to send updates thus your privacy is kept safe from spam mails.

6. Unsubscribing is hassle-free.
Unlike email subscriptions where the user is asked questions on why s/he is unsubscribing and then the user would be asked to confirm unsubscribing, all you have to do is to delete the RSS feed from your aggregator.

7. It can be used as an advertising or marketing tool.
Users who subscribe or syndicate product websites receive the latest news on products and services without the website sending spam mail. This is advantageous to both the web user and the website owner since advertising becomes targeted; those who are actually interested in their products are kept posted.

What are the drawbacks of RSS? The disadvantages of RSS use are brought about by its being a new technology and some user-preference concerns.

1. Some users prefer receiving email updates over an RSS feed.

2. Graphics and photos do not appear in all RSS feeds.
For conciseness and ease of publication, RSS feeds do not display the photos from the original site in announcing the update except for some web-based aggregators

3. The identity of the source website can be confusing.
Since RSS feeds do not display the actual URL or name of the website, it can sometimes get confusing on what feed a user is actually reading.

4. Publishers cannot determine how many users are subscribed to their feed and the frequency of their visits. Moreover, they would not know the reasons why users unsubscribe which could be important in improving their advertising.

5. RSS feeds create higher traffic and demands on the server.
Most readers still prefer the whole update over a brief summary of the entry, thus they still access the site.

6. Since it is a new technology, many sites still do not support RSS.

How do I start using RSS?

There are two things needed: an RSS feed and an RSS aggregator or reader. The RSS feed comes from an RSS-supported website. There are also websites that provide a list of RSS feeds of different websites. An RSS aggregator is used to read the RSS feed from the source website. It scans and collects data on latest RSS feeds from the worldwide web.

An aggregator comes in two forms: a downloadable program also known as desktop aggregator and an online or web-based aggregator. Downloadable aggregators may require payment before they can be acquired, while internet-based aggregators are usually free of charge. All you need to do is to register an account then you are ready to use their services. Both versions allow you to customize or choose which RSS feeds to enter. Paid aggregators are usually chosen by more experienced users and they usually allow more freedom in customizing feeds.

1. Choose an RSS aggregator to use. For beginners, web-based aggregators are recommended since they are usually user-friendly

2. Scan the homepage of your target website for the RSS or XML button. It contains the RSS code you need to enter in the aggregator. Copy this code. Syndic8 provides a directory of websites that support RSS.

3. Paste the code (which contains the URL of the website) in your aggregator. There is a space provided for pasting the code.

After you have done these three easy steps, you can start reading the RSS feeds coming from the website. New postings appear as they are published real time at the source website.

RSS and Internet Marketing

The original idea of RSS came from Netscape, where their intention is to provide a means for users to customize their personal homepage to contain links to websites that interest them, similar to bookmarking websites.

The application of RSS to internet marketing was an unforeseen development to RSS technology developers. Since users are given the freedom to add RSS feeds to their aggregators, those who are interested in particular products and services available in the internet can now be notified real time. Marketing becomes more specific to interested people and not a hit-and-miss operation.

Those who intend to use RSS for marketing their products and services should consider linking up with email account providers, (e.g. Yahoo, MSN, Google mail); networking websites (e.g. Friendster, Multiply, My Space, Hi5); websites of newspapers and television network websites (e.g. New York Times, CNN) for medium to big-scale companies. Small-time industries can also look into networking websites as well as personal blog websites (e.g. Blogspot) and websites of clubs and organizations that would probably make use of their products or services e.g. a fishing supplies store can look for the website of their local fishing club for possible RSS marketing.

Clearly, RSS is an innovation in information management in the worldwide web as well as online marketing. We can expect better RSS technology in the not-so-distant future as its popularity increases among users and website owners alike.
