Starting any business can be tough, but a consulting business can be rewarding for an entrepreneur that possesses expertise in a specific niche or area. Before starting any business it is important to understand that a considerable level of effort will be required especially in the start-up stage.

What is a consultant?

A consultant is someone that provides counsel, advice and assistance to other business owners. He or she must be an expert in their field and posses knowledge that others are willing to pay for. There is almost no field of business that does not require some sort of consultancy ranging from marketing, branding, team building and coaching. A consultant must always keep learning so that their expertise stays fresh and consistent with new knowledge.

Financing

The best way to raise finance to get you through the first year is by speaking to your local bank. Other alternatives include mortgaging your property, raising money via your credit cards or approaching friends and relatives.

Selecting a Market and Location

The expertise that you possess might not be in demand in your home town. A potential consultant should carry out market research to determine where s/he is most likely to succeed. Get advice from your local chamber of commerce and speak to other business owners before you decide on the ideal location.

Location is all important in a consultancy business and you must be prepared to move if you can spot high levels of demand in another city.

Raising Awareness

Marketing is key to your success. Unlike a retail operation you have to find your clients and raise awareness of your expertise. In the initial stages cold calling will be required but if you identify your prospective clients and target carefully you can reduce the burden of selling.

Join specific forums that deal with your type of business expertise. Develop a website, create a video and regularly keep in touch with existing clients through newsletters, brochures and flyers. A consultant has to be a great networker as long term most of their business comes from word of mouth.

Doing the Business

A consultant often has many clients at one time. Keeping them all happy does take some juggling with your time. Depending on your type of expertise there could also be high seasonal demands. Make sure you get references from happy clients - reputation is everything in this business.

Cash Flow

The problem with running a consultants business is that there is no regular income especially at the start. There will be periods of drought when there is very little work and other times when you are stowed under. Make sure you keep money aside to cover these periods. Even the best consultants experience times when there is very little demand for their expertise.

Conclusion

Making a living as a consultant is tough especially at the beginning whilst you establish your credentials. Being a successful consultant requires good management skills, respect for your client’s confidentiality and the ability to network.

Your technical skills might be the reason why you started as a consultant but they will not be the reason why you succeed or fail! In the long term your skills in building great customer relations will be what drives your business forward.

Author: Kevin Sinclair (Email)

If you’re a business owner and you want to take advantage of Internet marketing, banner ads are useful, but they can also be quite expensive. This doesn’t really help you if you’re on a limited budget. In this case, you may find that banner exchanges are useful. For example, you can place your own banner ad on a web site that receives a lot of traffic and would likely attract an audience who would be interested in your product or service.

In addition, whoever owns this web site should not be a direct competitor of yours. This might be difficult to find, and even if you can, your ability to purchase advertisement space can be expensive, especially if you’re in a very competitive niche. In this case, banner exchanges are affordable even for those on modest budgets.

What is perhaps most appealing is that they’re cost-effective and efficient. Most banner exchanges are free to those who participate. Rather than placing a banner ad by yourself, you don’t incur any financial cost for your banner ad to appear on another web site. However, the business owner, namely you, does have an obligation to take care of.

Most banner ad exchanges find another web site for you to post your advertisement without charging a fee. They then require you to post at least one banner ad on your web site, sometimes more, in exchange. Most banner ad exchanges attempt to match your banner ad to another relevant web site. However, this isn’t always possible and therefore, the web site your banner ad appears on might not be relevant to your products or services. This means that not only will the banner ads generate very little interest in your products and services, but your ad could show up on a web site you’d rather not.

Therefore, be aware that you are exchanging some control for the cost-effectiveness these exchanges get you. It may also be true that the ads that appear on your web site do not mesh with your content, so it’s very clear that you’re advertising and this, in turn, may be of some detriment to you, since blatant advertisements can drive visitors away. Most likely, you can reject categories you find to be offensive, but other than that, you’re not likely to be able to moderate the banner ads that appear on your web site.

Another affordable option to you in terms of banner ad placement may be an affiliate marketing campaign. In this case, web site owners or affiliates post your banner ad on their web sites and promote your products and services for you in this way. Typically, the banner ads include text and graphics, which encourage Internet users to click through on the ad to your web site. These also include embedded code. This provides you with statistics telling you which affiliates generated your web site traffic.

This is necessary, because affiliates need to be paid and they won’t be unless they get people to click through the ad to your web site or make a purchase. Under normal circumstances, affiliates are compensated either on a per click basis or a per sale basis. If the affiliate receives payment on a per click basis, they receive a certain amount of money every time someone clicks on the ad. If they receive money on a per sale basis, this means the affiliate gets either a flat fee or a percentage of the sale for each sale generated by that click through.

They can also be can hate on a cost per lead basis, that and this means that they are compensated when a visitor performs a certain action, such as registering with a web site or filling out a survey. Most people like affiliate programs, because they’re cost effective and you can place your banner ads on web sites and only must pay affiliates who successfully encourage click throughs.

Author: Court Tuttle (Email)

If you really want to comprehend how Alexa rankings work, we need to initially learn about and comprehend how the general rankings of web pages are really setup. There exist several giant and dominating web pages online that specifically rank web pages according to their reputation and how many visitors they have each day. The rankings are then setup and published for all web page owners to see so that they will be able to expand and improve their sites for online business.

Entrepreneurs who have constructed their own web sites and have the dream of becoming very profitable realize that they need to be chosen by giant search engines in order to be successful and obtain many more customers. Most popular search engines, as well as private ranking services such as Alexa, use top secret algorithms to sort through the millions of web sites that have been published on the Internet and rank the ones that are most important. These top web sites often have the best quality and best service available to customers that use Alexa and search engines.

The owners of online businesses must initially understand and educate themselves on how Alexa ranks all of the web sites that are on the Internet. It ranks them according to the keywords that are displayed on the web sites, as well as how visible they are to a visitor and how many times those keywords are displayed on the page. Web site designers should remember to keep the web pages very clear and easy to use and also well organized so that Alexa has a much easier time locating them.

If you want Alexa to rank your online sites then you need to always publish great quality texts. Words that are primary should be carefully implemented into the titles and subtitles of the web pages that are designed and published. If a web site is carefully organized and designed, then that online business will be successful.

An additional crucial aspect that you must remember while attempting to improve your Alexa rank is the kind of link text that you are using. Links are easily picked up by Alexa’s secret algorithm and they will determine if the site is exactly what Internet visitors are looking for. Make sure to use keywords in the content of a web page as well as the links that are displayed.

Even though several brand new web site owners cling to Alexas rankings as a source of reputable information with regards to the status of their web sites, many experienced bloggers find Alexa to be inaccurate and difficult to follow. Alexa, in reality, provides rankings only on the traffic flow that uses Alexa’s toolbars and other online software. It often neglects all of the other unique Internet visitors to your site that use other search engines and ways of finding your specific blog.

The Alexa rankings are a wonderful method that new bloggers can use to begin a successful blog site, but as you progress in the online world and become much larger and more popular, you should not completely rely on Alexa’s rankings for complete and accurate information with regards to the status of your blog.

Web banner advertising is not extinct. Like anything else you must go about using it correctly.

Author: Daryl Campbell (Email)

This argument has been raging for awhile. In the early days of cyberspace, internet banner advertising was a hot commodity, then it moved into the not so effective stage, followed by being labeled a relic of the past, and now it has been declared dead by people “in the know”. Apparently some of the major news services and mega companies online did not get the memo because they still use banner ads; and quite profitably.

A web site banner is an advertisement in the form of image and text. Though you will see banner ads placed in a variety of different areas, they are commonly used at the top of a webpage. This technique maybe considered a holdover from when internet banner advertising was in its glory days but it really serves a more practical purpose. The top of the page is where you are most likely to attract the attention of your visitors.

So why the rush to place banner advertising alongside the fossil remains of the tyrannosaurus at your local museum? Part of it is that since the internet moves at warped speed, many people figure something old as web banner advertising cannot be effective or they just never had much success even when these types of ads were in vogue. Whatever the reason, a web site banner (like any form of advertisement) can do a nice job of promoting your products or services, when used effectively. Use one or a combination of these tips to get you started.

1. Land of the Free

This word does something to all of us. Mainly it gets us to explore further. Advertise a free giveaway on your web site banner related to your target market. Offer a free ebook or helpful video that gets people curious to find out more. When they click the ad banner, you can lead them to signup page, with an opt in email form. If your initial free offer is enticing enough, then people will not mind giving you their contact information

2. Free Banner Exchange

The people over at the website Marketing Terms have come up with the simplest and best definition of a banner exchange program: “I will show your ads on my site in exchange for getting to show my ads on your site.” This is a very cost effective way to get your banner on hundreds if not thousands of other websites. Many banner exchanges will work hard to match your ad banner to a relevant website. Keep in mind this is not always feasible so you may get stuck putting banner ads on your site outside of your niche.

3. Paid Banner Ads

As the name implies you are paying for your banner to be advertised on other websites. The key to ensuring this method yields some good return on your investment is to make sure the website you are advertising on delivers the web traffic they promise. You also want your web site banner to be placed in an area that’s clearly visible and not on the same page as ten or twenty other banner ads.

4. Free Traffic Exchange

This too has been labeled passe and ineffective but it works and banner ads are perfect for traffic exchanges. You know of course that for every site you surf you accumulate some type of credit. You can then exchange however many credits you choose for banner impressions (your web site banner displayed on another site within the exchange). Why is this so effective? On average, click thru rates of traffic exchange banners are greater than banner only exchanges. This is one of the great secrets of traffic exchanges that can boost your internet business considerably.

Web banner advertising is not extinct. Like anything else you must go about using it correctly. Offer something for free, do your homework when it comes to free exchanges and paid ads while utilizing the hidden goldmine of traffic exchanges. In the end you will find that web banner advertising, far from being a relic of the past, is still very much alive and profitable.

The most important part about creating a blog is the publication of effective articles and posts that will attract a large amount of Internet visitors. The number of people that actually visit your blog will ultimately determine how successful it will become. There are many ways that you can improve your blog in order to increase its popularity and to build a very positive reputation.

One of the best ways to improve your blog is by increasing the readability of the posts and articles that are published on it. There are many different ways that you can do this, and this particular article will talk about some things that you can do right now to make your blog posts easier to read.

Consistent Structure

Make sure that your blog has a consistent structure that is easy for Internet visitors to understand and use. The articles and posts should be well organized and include titles and subtitles that will allow people to better navigate through the different parts of your blog. The blog’s structure will make it more user friendly and overall make your posts easier to read.

Simple And Concise

Another important part about making your blog posts easier to read is to keep your articles as short and concise as possible. Keeping your posts as simple as possible will make reading them much easier and even more enjoyable to look over. Remember to eliminate any articles or posts that are too long and wordy because they quickly scare away potential blog clients because of how long it takes to read them.

Links

A very common aspect of your blog includes the publication of links on the site that will increase its overall value. The appearance of these links should be very attractive and simple so that they catch the eyes of Internet visitors. Another great way to enhance the visibility of your links is to underline them and make them really stand out.

Images

The use of images can have an enormous effect on the people that visit your blog on the Internet. If you put images at the beginning of each post that you publish, then you will attract more users to actually read them. Images enhance the overall appearance of your blog and make it much more appealing to viewers.

Short Paragraphs

Another great way to make your blog posts easier to read is by eliminating large chunks of text within every article that you write. Whenever there is a large amount of text crammed together on a blog, many people instantly leave because of its intimidating appearance. Instead of writing articles with large texts, try to cut the article down into smaller paragraphs so that people are less likely to run away from it.

Color Scheme

Make sure that your blog has a specific color scheme that remains consistent for every article that is published. Different colors add contrast to the blog and make it much more enjoyable to both read and visit.

Learn to help your website visitors make intelligent decisions to solve their toughest problems...especially if you really are the best resource for the job.

Author: Cathy Goodwin (Email)

When you click through a handful of websites, it’s easy to feel as though you’re reading one hype-y message after another. “Secret formula to take your business to the next level.” “Magically transform your life.”

But do these claims really win clients? Do they across as credible? Or do visitors click away, muttering, “Hype. Hype. Yeah, more hype.”

So what’s the difference between meaningless hype and (ahem) strategic bragging?

(1) Share your success stories.

OK, you promise to take my business to the next level. Now tell a story with a beginning, middle and grand triumph.

Beginning:

“When Jenny called me, all her friends had stopped speaking to her. Even her dog looked the other way when they went out walking. Jenny was desperate for a social life.”

Middle:

“We worked on Jenny’s communication style. We developed voice techniques customized to Jenny’s life. We suggested new conversation topics and we taught Jenny the weed-your-friends-weekly technique.”

Grand triumph:

“Jenny’s social circle has widened extensively. She has more friends than ever (including some special friends). Her dog proudly trots by her side, head high.”

Notice we haven’t given away the store and we successfully disguised Jenny’s identity. But we provided enough details to suggest substance, not hype.

(2) Numbers please.

OK, just how effective were you?

“Eighty-two percent of people who take this course tell me they increase business by at least 30%.”

“In 6 years I’ve worked with over 272 clients.”

“Doubled revenue in my own business with just one simple technique anyone can learn.”

Strategic bragging means you don’t boast: you are just supplying facts. You let other people put the numbers together and conclude, “This person knows what he’s doing.”

Just choose meaningful statistics. “Ninety percent of people who took this course became more aware of their own prosperity.”

Sure, I’m aware! But if I’m going to pay for your course, I want more prosperity, not more awareness.

(3) Get other people to brag for you.

Your client says, “Hey, I really got a lot from your service.”

Seize the moment.

Say, “I’m so glad you liked what we did for you. Wouldn’t it be great to help others get the same benefits? Would you let me use your name for a testimonial?”

Many happy clients are delighted to help but don’t have time to write out a testimonial. So draft up a quote and always, always get permission.

When your favorite clients won’t offer testimonials, they’ll often agree to serve as references. No problem: you need those too.

(4) Choose your brags.

One author claimed he had spent twenty years researching his topic. But his book cited just a few interviews and few references. So he can’t brag about research - unless he wants readers to fling the book across the room, yelling, “Impossible!”

But he can brag about his 20 years of specialized experience, his advanced degrees, and (most important) his program to create a success mindset even if you’re bored, whiny lazy and self-indulgent.

(5) Brag about what makes you different - and tell us why it matters.

You spent 20 years in the meanest company in corporate America (so you are uniquely qualified to coach executives on climbing out of a career stall).

You’re a CPA who reads voraciously (so you relate to clients who earn their living creatively).

You developed a 3-step process to bring order out of chaos in home offices (so clients get back to work faster than if they used traditional methods).

When you brag strategically, you read your own sales page and think, “Wow - I would like to hire this person.”

You’re not boasting. You’re not adding to the mountain of hype that’s already out there.

Instead, you help your website visitors make intelligent decisions to solve their toughest problems…especially if you really are the best resource for the job.

Read an excellent article listing the top 10 reasons to start your own business.

Author: Todd Ash (Email)

1: Tax Advantages

Business Deductions.
To qualify as business deductions, expenses must be reasonable and necessary. Taxpayers are required to keep accurate books and records.
The records should be complete enough to include types and sources of income, gains, losses, costs, expenses, and substantiation for tax deductions. Your records should include items such as bank statements, cancelled checks, receipts or invoices, credit card statements, diaries and logs. Here are some examples of what you could deduct. Remember…also check with a professional first.

Tax Deductions for Home-Based Businesses
Nobody likes tax time, but owning a home-based business can literally save you thousands of dollars a year in taxes by allowing you to turn personal expenses into legitimate, allowable deductions.

The more tax deductions your business can legitimately take, the lower its taxable profit will be. For example, if you earn $100,000 per year from your job and home-based business, combined, but have $15,000 in allowable business deductions from your business, you would only pay taxes of your net income of $85,000. At 30% tax rate, that could save you $4,500 in federal taxes!

We recommend you talk to your accountant about allowable tax deductions, but here are some tax strategies to keep in mind:

Auto Expenses
You can keep track of and deduct all your actual business-related expenses. Again, make sure you get the exact information that applies to your circumstances.

Education/Training Expenses
Costs of training meetings, training programs and manuals, books, online training subscriptions, etc.
Legal and Professional Fees, Fees you pay lawyers, tax professionals or consultants

Business Entertaining
You may deduct a certain percentage of the cost for entertaining existing or prospective customers, if it is either “directly related” to the business, and business is discussed, or “associated with” the business, and the entertainment takes place immediately before or after a business discussion. (Keep notes of the people involved and the business purpose.)

Travel
When you travel for business, you can deduct many expenses, including the cost of plane fare, costs of operating your car, rental cars, taxis, lodging, meals, shipping business materials, dry cleaning, telephone calls, faxes and tips. It’s OK to combine business and pleasure as long as business is the primary purpose of the trip. But if you take your family along, you can deduct only your expenses, just as if you had traveled alone.

Interest
Interest and carrying charges on credit cards and business loans are fully tax-deductible.

Computers and Software
Check with your accountant about the rules that apply to your business.

Charitable Contributions are deductible
Rules vary depending on how your business is registered. Get the details that apply to your business.

Advertising
All expenses involved in advertising or promoting your business are deductible, i.e. business cards, classified ads, yellow pages, brochures and flyers, etc.

Household Expenses
This can be one of your most valuable deductions. To qualify, a percentage of your home must be used “exclusively and on a regular basis” for your business.

Often Overlooked Expenses

Business related long distance services.

Improvement costs to your office space.

A percentage of all household expenses, including property taxes, mortgage interest, homeowner’s insurance, utilities, property maintenance, alarm systems, snow removal, grass cutting, etc.

Office furniture and equipment - Have you purchased any desks, chairs, computers, files, lamps…Up to a certain amount can be deducted in one year.

Homeowner’s insurance, utilities and related expenses based on the percentage of their use in the home office.

Household maintenance - would be deducted on a percentage basis.

Snow removal and lawn maintenance.

NOTE: If there is any possibility you will sell your house within the next several years, talk to your accountant about the tax ramifications.

Note: This list of business expenses is not inclusive. If the item you’re thinking of using as a business tax deduction isn’t on this list, that doesn’t mean it’s not a legitimate business expense. Check with your accountant Business Expenses, Accounting & Legal fees (related to business activities)

Automobile expenses

Bad Debts

Bank Charges

Business Taxes & Business Licenses

Collection Agency fees

Conference and Convention fees

Expert Advice (consultant fees, for instance)

Interest expenses (on money borrowed to run your business)

Insurance expenses (for buildings, machinery or equipment)

ISP fees (business use)

Membership Dues (for business-related organizations)

Meals and Entertainment expenses

Office Rent expenses

Office Supplies expenses

Postage & Courier expenses

Private Health Service Plan (PHSP) premiums

Promotion expenses

Property Taxes

Repair & Maintenance expenses

Salaries of employees - including salaries of family members

Telephone/Telecommunications expenses

Travel expenses

Utilities

More Reasons for working from home.

2: Personal Freedom to come and go as you please.

Did you ever want to just spend a day with your family? Did you ever want to attend a special funeral but you had to work? What about visiting someone in the hospital? Can you just take a few hours off in the day? This is one of the best reasons for having a home business…you are able to manage your own time. This does not mean working less; rather it means flexibility of time scheduling.

3: You get to keep the profit. All of it.

This needs no explanation. If you work hard, if you are committed to your business, you will reap the benefits…and you will also get to keep the profit.

4: No Boss.

The stress of working for an unfair and egotistical boss can be tremendous. It has even been suggested that this kind of stress can lead to heart disease. Work related stress has been the cause of marriage break ups. Some people just cannot come home at night and leave their work related issues AT the office. They bring their concerns, fears and frustrations home with them…and the whole family suffers under this strain. I had a wonderful boss for 25 years. That changed. I work from home now.

5: No stress about co-workers.

Numerous studies show that office stress is associated with susceptibility to illness such as cold and flu including carpal tunnel syndrome. You spend 8 - 10 hours at work. If you do not get along with your co-workers, if there is a lot of office politics these hours 8 hours can seem an eternity. Office politics and employee dissention can eat away at the inner core of your being.

6: You get to raise your own children.

By choosing to work at home, you can choose your own business hours and personal hours to fit your needs. Many successful home business entrepreneurs will also hire nannies to look after their little ones while working in their home office. They love being there for their children and can still devote the necessary hours to their work.

7: You get to be creative.

No one can limit your talents. You can outsource what you are not good at doing. Instead, you can concentrate on what you are good at doing.

8: No rush hour traffic or concerns about driving in bad weather.

Working at home means you wake up and look out the window; you either smile or frown at what you see and go get yourself a cup of coffee. You watch the news; you watch the traffic problems, and then you go to work, at home.

If you have kids at the daycare, you know all too well the stress of getting there on time to pick them up after a long day at work. Daycare workers may love to look after your little treasures in the daytime…but, come a certain time in the evening, and they want your little ones gone. Many daycare workers charge a big fee for overtime, and rightfully so, but many also get very upset when the children are picked up late.

9: Not being tied down by someone else’s demands.

Do you have to work when asked to do overtime? Are you worried about losing your job if you do not comply? Do you feel pressured to work on your days off? Do you make plans to be with your family only to have your boss veto your plans? Working at home means you are able to schedule your own time.

10: Most important…You choose with who you work. You choose how you work.

Always remember, working at home does NOT mean working less.

One very special reason… especially this time of year, to start a home based business is TAX ADVANTAGES! Keep your hard earned dollars out of Uncle Sam’s pocket

Author: Jack Sinclair (Email)

It seems like just a few years ago that the term autoresponder was invented, and now, with the amazing growth of the Internet, an autoresponder has become the essential toolkit for anyone who is making consistent money online.

In the meantime, millions of people have come online, only to learn that making money online is not as simple as putting up a webpage with a product for sale. Every successful website online includes email follow-up using an autoresponder of one kind or another.

An autoresponder does many things, including lead and customer management, automated follow-up, ensures compliance when sending email out, and even the advanced stuff, like tracking how many people open your email, and how many click a link you send.

Some autoresponders will even let you split test a message, which means it will send one message to some of your subscribers, and another email message to the rest of your list, so you can see which one gets a better response. Using split testing lets you determine the most profit pulling email to send in the future.

The better autoresponders also work closely with the Internet Service Providers (ISPs), to ensure the emails they send are whitelisted and delivered to the intended recipient.

So why do so many people try to live on free autoresponders, or even worse…starting an online business without any autoresponder at all!

I think it is a simple fact of being naive - or perhaps being new to the Internet. If you are brave enough to trust your prospects and customers to an unproven free autoresponder service, I think you will quickly learn why it is free. Some of the most horrific stories involve some fly- by-night free service that hurt a lot of people when it disappears. Can you imagine losing your entire customer base?

Anyone that has ever got a professional autoresponder and actually used it as intended discovers one thing very quickly - you can pretty much generate cash on demand, simply by logging in to your autoresponder, and sending out an email. It’s pretty much that easy.

When you have experienced “money on demand” and the power of an autoresponder, you will never again consider the idea of sending simple emails from your home computer. It simply doesn’t compare, in terms of safety, convenience and sophistication.

I ran a simple test with a new autoresponder recently, and in just 5 hours , I managed to register a new autoresponder, created a webpage, and added a signup page with a sales offer, and in less than 60 days, I had 16,000 subscribers and $5,000 in additional profits. That’s about $1,000 per hour, and most of that income is recurring. Would you like to make $1,000 per hour? That’s what autoresponders can do for you.

A great autoresponder is used by every millionaire who made their fortune online… and don’t you think it’s time you learned more about them?

See how easy setting up an autoresponder and lead capture page can be by watching the free videos at http://www.referralcamp.com.

Author: Court Tuttle (Email)

There is a new site out there that everyone is talking about. This site is Twitter. What is is all about? Can it help you build your site and your business? What is it exactly that they do?

Twitter is a site that is made for their members to participate in group chats and meet new and interesting people. Like other social websites, this means that you can add friends and start converstaions and discussions with them. This may appear to be very simple, but there a plenty of new and exciting features to help you out.

First Things First

Before you start to add new friends left and right in Twitter, you should take a step back and really check out the site. Read through others profiles and get some good ideas of the type of people you want to network with. Take note of the ones you want to have contact with. Try out a few friends and see where it gets you.

One of the first things that you should do is set up a good profile. As you start to add friends and meet new people, you want your profile to be all set up so that they can learn about you before accepting you as a friend. Another good benefit from this is that others will notice you. If you have an interesting profile, they will be more like to add you as a friend.

Start Talking

The main point of you joining Twitter is to start conversations and get to know others. So do it! You can even add links and URLs in your messages. Start a few discussions and see what happens. Notice what others say. And respond to them what they have to say.

Also don’t be afraid to drop in on other peoples conversations. This is an ideal way to get to know others and get some good contacts. Don’t ever feel bad for eavesdropping because there are probably plenty of other people who are doing the same thing to you.

Stay With It

If you know what you are doing, Twitter can be a great networking tool but you must put forth a little effort and time into it. If you want quick results, it may not happen but it all depends on what you do to make it a good source.

Try to not get frustrated if you start conversations and no one participates. It may take some time to get things established and going with your networking skills. Remember that you are new to Twitter and it make take some time to get into the swing of things. But remember to have fun while you are getting to know the program and all it has to offer.

Twitter can be a great tool if you know how to use it to your best advantage. Have fun and have a good attitude about it all. There are many great features for you to learn and use. If you use Twitter and all it has to offer you, then you can sit back and watch your network grow.
